Throughout the school year our students participate in various community service outreach projects.
Sharing Feast
In celebration of Thanksgiving, students collect canned goods and non-perishable food for a local food bank.
Christmas Children
Each class adopts a needy family and gathers gifts to make the holiday much brighter!
Operation Christmas Child
For many years the families of CCCS have donated shoeboxes filled with gifts for needy children. Click here for more information on Operation Christmas Child.
Earth Day Tree Donation
Starting in 2010 the students purchased t-shirts celebrating Earth Day. Proceeds from the t-shirt sales went towards purchasing rees to donate to the City of Temple. In the spring of 2010 we raised enough to donate three beautiful Live Oaks for Freedom Park.
St. Jude Mathathon
Each year Kindergarten organizes a Mathathon to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital. All Kindergarten and Upper School students are encouraged to participate.
Nets for Life
Mosquitoes for us here are a bother – they bite and make us itchy. However, mosquitoes in other places make children sick. In Africa and other places where there is malaria, children and their families sleep under nets to keep out the mosquitoes. Nets for LIfe makes these life-saving nets available for communites in 17 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Click here for more information on Nets for Life.
